How this promo reached collectors
Phione (SM220) is one of the four promos named in Pokemon's Cosmic Eclipse prerelease article, which announces public tournaments for October 19-27, 2019. The date below is the start of that public window, not a verified staff handout date. The collector staff archive separately lists its STAFF counterpart.
BEFORE YOU BUY
Check the stamp, not just the name
Compare the card number and expansion logo with the listing photos. A staff listing should clearly show the additional STAFF stamp. A shared name or card number alone does not prove the variant.
SEALED VS RAW VS GRADED
The packaging matters
No packaging-specific evidence has been added for this card. A sealed listing must show the actual wrapper and contents. A slab, raw card and sealed promo pack are separate buying choices.
Catalog notes
Identity and release mapping are checked at the scope described by each source below. A catalog listing is not authentication. No scarcity, population or price claims are inferred.
Checked October 15, 2026. Staff scan, exact staff handout date and card-specific sealed-wrapper details remain unverified. Reference display does not establish commercial artwork permission.
