THE RELEASE

How this promo reached collectors

Groudon ex #002 is one of the first two Nintendo Black Star Promos, the series that continued the Black Star line after Nintendo took over the Pokémon TCG license from Wizards of the Coast. This page is the Cosmos Holo print. Separate Non Holofoil and No e-Reader Code prints are documented and have their own pages. A matching scan has not been installed; no other print is substituted.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Match the print, not just the number

Check the English name, Nintendo Black Star promo symbol, card number, finish and any stamp named on this page. A shared card number does not mean two prints are identical.

SEALED VS RAW VS GRADED

The packaging matters

A loose card, a PSA or CGC slab and a sealed promotional package are different things. Search results can mix prints, tins and value packs. Check the actual print, finish and package contents before buying.
